“Small-strain stiffness of soil, it’s measurement and applications in geotechnical design”
Geophysical and geotechnical surveys are used to characterize the subsoil for offshore projects, but quantitative integration of both survey types is not often performed. Nevertheless, both survey types provide the possibility to measure the stiffness of the soil at small strain. In this webinar, the methods for in-situ determination of the small-strain shear modulus are discussed in detail. These measurements provide an essential ground-truth for geophysical inversion. Results from the inversion can then be used for farm-wide geotechnical monopile design.
